Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?
And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand. (Judges 1:1-2)
If you have followed all the subsequent lessons you will by now be on the road to success in life. Before you get all excited and probably begin to relax, there is a final principle that you need for a completely successful journey. It is the principle of Praise.
Praise is the possessor of purpose'.
Whether in good times or bad times you need to praise the Lord. Everything that has breath is programmed to praise God. You must praise when you feel like and you praise when you don't feel like it. David said that while he lived, he would praise God. The dead cannot praise God; praise is for the living.
When do you have to praise God?
# Daily - Psalm 72:15
# Continually - Psalm 71:16
# Seven times daily - Psalm 119-164
# All the day - Psalm 35:28
# At midnight - Psalm 119: 62, Acts 16:25
# while you live - Psalm 146:2
From the scripture reference above, God clearly told His people that Judah should go up first against the enemies for He has given the land into their hands. Praise confused the enemies. Praise has in its hand your purpose. Do not look at your problems, but rather praise your way into victory. Your praise defeats the enemy and grants you your inheritance. Hallelujah!
2 Chronicles 20:15 -19 ; Acts 16:23 -28
God inhabits me and lives in my praise. I willl praise Him every day in spite of everything in Jesus' name. Amen.
