“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21)
To proclaim is to announce or declare something that you know is true. Your purpose will come to life as
you make an open declaration about it. This, will become possible only when you believe in
your purpose and motivated by it.
The most powerful thing you can give in life is your word, therefore it is the most critical. This is because the tongue is a small part of the body but it has power to determine the entire course of your life.
God gave us mouths to speak words just like him. God speaks and great things happen, so also when a Christian speaks great things happens “as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). God watches closely over the words we speak with our mouths. In other words, God is very mindful of our proclamations and pronouncements.
In Numbers 14:28, God spoke to Moses and said, “Say unto them, as truly as I live, saith the lord, as ye have spoken in my ears, so will I do to you. ” God said, “ as ye have spoken in my ears”, as if the people prayed to Him. That was not the case; the people were just talking among themselves like we do every day. You see, God watches over our words to bring them to pass in our lives, it is therefore important that you proclaim at all times only those
things you would love to see come to pass in your life. On the path of success, your proclamation is undoubtedly important because by so doing, you both transmit and intercede for the vision.
I have personally never stopped proclaiming what the lord said he is doing with me since I became Christian and day after day, I see that purpose unfolding into reality.
Matthew 12:36-37 says that we will be judged for every careless word we utter in life, so guard your purpose zealously and note these three things about words:
- Words create lives
- Words change lives (Numbers 14:28-29)
- Words destroy lives
WRITE DOWN FIVE (5) POSITIVE STATEMENTS OR PROCLAMATIONS ABOUT YOURSELF AND
YOUR PURPOSE AND READ THESE TO YOURSELF DAILY.
In Genesis 31 and 35, the Bible gives an account of the effect of idle words on lives. Jacob left his Father-in-laws house, with his two wives: Racheal and Leah. After they had left, his father-in-law
discovered that one of his gods had been stolen so he pursued Jacob to find out who had taken it. In Genesis 31:32, Jacob said: “With whomsoever you find your gods, let him not live; before our brethren discern you what is yours with me, and take it to you. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them”. As the passage says, Jacob did not know it was one of his wives that had taken it. Subsequently, in Genesis 35:16-19, these idle words spoken by Jacob brought death upon his wife. The scripture states that at childbirth, the baby was spared but the woman died. Ignorance is no excuse when it comes to the law. Life and death are in the power (words) of the tongue. Speak life upon your family daily. Proclaim your purpose daily. “Proclamation is the power of purpose”. Hallelujah!
Dear Lord, I am grateful for your word today. I declare today that, I am bundle of success going somewhere to happen and I will forever remain at the top because that is where Christ Jesus has placed me. Amen
